Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Mama Mary Temas, mother of the late Johana Ng'eno, after the passing of her second son, Paul Ng'eno.

Paul Ng'eno died on the evening of August 22 at a hospital in Eldoret where he had been receiving treatment. His death was confirmed by Bernard Ngeno, known as Arap Buluu, who served as a personal assistant to the late MP Johana Ng'eno.

Gachagua's Message of Sympathy

In a statement shared on Facebook, Gachagua extended sympathy to the entire Emurua Dikirr community and especially to Mama Mary Temas, who is grieving the loss of two sons within six months. The late Johana Ng'eno died earlier this year in a helicopter crash.

"To the people of Emurua Dikirr, poleni sana on the loss of Paul Ng'eno. May the Almighty God give you peace and strength during this difficult moment," Gachagua said.

He acknowledged the deep pain Mama Mary must be enduring, noting that while words may not suffice, divine grace is essential during such times.

Support for the Family

Hours before Paul Ng'eno passed away, Gachagua had committed to settling his outstanding hospital bill of KSh 1.8 million. Beyond financial assistance, he has also provided food supplies to the family and announced plans to build a mausoleum honoring the late MP Johana Ng'eno.

During his visit to the family, Gachagua revealed that there were attempts by government entities to hinder his travel, but he thanked local residents for ensuring his safe passage.

Spiritual Reflection

Gachagua offered words of spiritual comfort, acknowledging that questions about the reasons behind such tragedies are natural, but emphasized that "the will of God is absolute."

"May the soul of Paul Ng'eno rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever," he concluded.
