The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has issued a renewed alert warning Kenyans about fraudulent social media accounts impersonating the agency on platforms such as TikTok, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
According to NTSA, scammers are exploiting these fake profiles to deceive members of the public, often soliciting personal information or payments for non-existent services.
Official Communication Channels
NTSA stressed that it only communicates through verified platforms and designated customer service channels. The official contacts include:
- X: @ntsa_kenya
- Website: www.ntsa.go.ke
- Facebook: NTSA KENYA
- Email: info@ntsa.go.ke
- SMS service: 22847_NTSA

Public Advisory
The authority urged the public to verify any social media accounts claiming to represent NTSA before sharing personal details or responding to messages. It advised against engaging with suspicious profiles and recommended blocking and reporting them on the respective platforms.
This alert follows a similar warning issued on July 31, highlighting ongoing risks of online impersonation targeting government agencies. NTSA reminded Kenyans to be cautious when sharing sensitive data such as identification numbers, passwords, or financial information online.
With the rise of online fraud, NTSA reaffirmed that its verified digital platforms remain the sole legitimate channels for accessing services, submitting inquiries, or lodging complaints.
