Coastal and Northern Regions
Residents along the coast should anticipate morning showers, particularly in Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, and coastal parts of Tana River. Inland northern counties such as Marsabit, Garissa, and Wajir are also expected to experience morning rains.
Western and Central Counties
Morning rainfall is forecast in western and central counties including Kisumu, Kisii, Nyamira, Homa Bay, Busia, Bomet, Migori, Kakamega, Nairobi, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi, and Nyandarua. Several highland and central counties like Kiambu, Laikipia, Meru, Murang'a, Nyeri, Nakuru, Machakos, and Kajiado will see morning cloudiness.
Afternoon and Evening Weather
Afternoon thunderstorms and showers are expected across a broad swath of western counties: Bungoma, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Busia, Kakamega, Vihiga, Nandi, Kericho, Nakuru, Narok, Migori, Homa Bay, Bomet, Elgeyo/Marakwet, Siaya, Kisumu, Kisii, Nyamira, and West Pokot.
Afternoon showers will also affect eastern and coastal counties including Embu, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Laikipia, Nyandarua, Murang'a, Nairobi, Kiambu, Lamu, Kwale, Garissa, Kajiado, Kilifi, Taita Taveta, and Makueni.
Counties such as Garissa, Isiolo, Kajiado, Kitui, Kwale, Lamu, Machakos, Makueni, Mandera, Marsabit, Mombasa, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Turkana, and Wajir are forecast to experience sunny intervals during the afternoon.
Nighttime Outlook
Showers are predicted at night in Trans Nzoia, Kisumu, Bungoma, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Kirinyaga, Migori, and Homa Bay. Most other counties will be partly cloudy overnight.
