Many online users suggested the figure resembled Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, a vocal supporter of President William Ruto and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
The meeting, held on Monday, August 24, brought together leaders and supporters from Isiolo and Marsabit counties as part of the Mt Kenya North political bloc. Gachagua welcomed the attendees, emphasizing unity and collective action ahead of the upcoming elections.
Nyamu’s Response to the Rumors
Instead of issuing a direct denial, Karen Nyamu took to Facebook with a witty and playful post. She shared an AI-generated image of herself dressed fully in UDA yellow attire, including a party cap and a face covering that resembled the hijab seen in the disputed photo.
Accompanying the image, she wrote, "Ni sawa, you caught me. Nilikua nimeenda ku confirm hawana agenda, me ni UDA damu!" translating to, "Okay, you caught me. I had gone to confirm they have no agenda. I am UDA through and through!"
