Former High Court Judge Joseph Mutava, Husband to Kibwezi East MP, Passes Away Suddenly

Former High Court judge Joseph Mbalu Mutava passed away unexpectedly on the night of August 21, 2026, after falling ill at his home.

Earlier that day, Mutava was reportedly in good health and had attended a burial ceremony. However, his condition deteriorated suddenly later in the evening, prompting efforts to rush him to a hospital in Makindu. Unfortunately, he died before receiving medical treatment.

Mutava was married to Jessica Nduku Mbalu, the current Member of Parliament for Kibwezi East Constituency.
