Super Metro Refutes Claims of Transporting Disruptors to Gachagua’s Kirinyaga Rally

Super Metro Limited has dismissed accusations that it transported individuals to disrupt former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s event in Kirinyaga on August 23, 2026.

In a statement released on Monday, the transport company clarified that the buses seen in Kirinyaga were ferrying secondary school students heading for a hiking trip at Kathandeni Forest in Gichugu Constituency. The trip was organized by the AIC Church Ziwani Nairobi, and the youths had no involvement in any political activities.

The company emphasized that the students were unrelated to the political gathering, countering claims made by Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina. Maina had earlier accused Super Metro of deploying its fleet to carry goons allegedly sent to cause disruptions at Gachagua’s meetings.

In her post, Maina warned the transport firm of legal consequences for allegedly facilitating violence during the political event.
