- Incorporates ICT and pastoral care across all programs
- Features international-standard sports facilities to support elite athlete training
Rachel Ruto emphasized that education should extend beyond academics to fostering character, confidence, and talent. She described SIBOH as an environment where every child can realize their potential through both scholastic and sporting excellence.
Background and Development
The academy was conceptualized in 2022 to address the gap in Kenyan institutions combining rigorous academics with high-level sports coaching. After selecting a site in Eldoret in 2023, the project advanced with architectural planning and recruitment of qualified educators and internationally certified coaches. Construction began in 2024.
SIBOH draws on Eldoret’s rich athletic heritage, linked to over 50 Olympic medals, positioning itself as a breeding ground for future champions. The website launch also initiates the enrollment process, providing families in Kenya and beyond with detailed information about the academy’s vision and offerings.
