The mystery surrounding Evelyn Chemutai Ruto's attendance at her sister Charlene Ruto's traditional koito ceremony has been resolved. Although President William Ruto’s official photos did not show Evelyn, a Nairobi-based fashion designer confirmed she was present.
Belabkay Couture, the fashion label that dressed Evelyn, posted on Instagram expressing gratitude for being chosen to create the bespoke gown she wore for the event. The designer described the occasion as "beautiful and momentous" and praised Evelyn for gracing the ceremony in their couture.
Nick Ruto, the president’s son, was also photographed at the event, sporting a full beard that attracted attention online. The koito, a significant cultural rite, was held in honour of Charlene Ruto, drawing widespread public interest as the daughter of Kenya’s sitting president.
While Evelyn’s absence from the president’s shared photos sparked curiosity among Kenyans, the designer’s post confirmed her participation and elegant appearance at the family celebration.
