Baringo’s First Female Pilot Honoured as Well-Wisher Sponsors Parents' Flight

Faith Keitany has made history as the first female pilot from Mochongoi Ward and the wider Baringo South region. Her recent graduation from the Kenya School of Aviation marked a milestone not only for her family but also for the entire community, inspiring young girls to pursue ambitious careers.

Raised in the rural area of Mochongoi, Keitany’s accomplishment is seen as a breakthrough for her community, demonstrating that professional success in aviation is attainable regardless of background.

Recognising the vital role of family support in her journey, Dr Milkah Toromo, a physician from Baringo, announced she would sponsor a return flight from Eldoret to Nairobi for Keitany’s parents. This gesture honours the sacrifices made by her family, underscoring that behind every pioneering success is a network of unwavering encouragement.
