24-Year-Old Man Found Dead After Alleged Abduction in Kakamega
Police investigate the killing of Nehemiah Okwaro, found with fatal wounds hours after alleged abduction from his home in Kakamega.
Detectives in Kakamega County have opened an investigation following the death of 24-year-old Nehemiah Okwaro, who was reportedly abducted from his residence in Mumias West Sub-County.
According to the victim's sister, a group of individuals arrived at their home late at night carrying a bright torch. They forcibly entered the house and took Nehemiah, also known as "Zeddy," while the sister was asleep.
The body was discovered the next morning around 7 a.m. on a nearby murram road. Authorities found Nehemiah lying in a pool of blood with multiple deep cuts on his neck, head, hands, chest, and legs. Preliminary findings suggest the injuries were caused by a sharp object.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear. Crime scene investigators have documented the scene, and the body was transported to Butere Sub-County Hospital Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
Police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the abduction and murder, aiming to identify those responsible.
