The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has shifted its grassroots elections in Tana River County from Saturday, August 15 to Thursday, August 20, 2026.
The party’s National Elections Board (NEB) announced the change following consultations with county leaders and stakeholders. Voting will run from 8 am to 5 pm on the new date.
NEB chairman Anthony Mwaura stated in a notice dated August 12 that the postponement aims to allow adequate preparations for party members and prospective candidates.
This adjustment is part of UDA’s ongoing phased grassroots election process across Kenya, designed to strengthen local party structures ahead of the 2027 General Election.
