In a statement released on August 13, 2026, the party’s National Elections Board confirmed the postponement and urged all party members and prospective candidates to take note of the revised schedule. Voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at polling centres across the county.
Purpose of the Grassroots Elections
The grassroots elections are a key part of UDA’s broader effort to strengthen its local structures nationwide. The party plans to elect 20 officials at each polling centre, representing various groups including:
