Tigoni Popular Park-and-Chill Spot Blocked by Roadside Trench

In Tigoni, Limuru, a well-known informal park-and-chill location has been rendered inaccessible to motorists following the digging of a trench along the roadside. The trench was reportedly created by a local resident responding to complaints about littering by frequent visitors.

Previously, the spot allowed vehicles to park on either side of the road, serving as a convenient meeting place where friends could gather and relax. Motorists have expressed frustration over the new barrier, saying it has disrupted their routine and forced them to seek alternative parking areas.

One affected motorist explained:

• "We were used to coming here to park and chill. Now, with the trench, it's impossible to park as we did before."
• "The social aspect of the area has also been affected since it was a popular spot to unwind and meet friends."

The trench was already in place when concerns about littering were raised, and it has sparked discussions among locals about access and the future use of the space.
