Tahmeed Express has taken decisive steps after confirming a bedbug infestation on one of its passenger buses, identified as KCR 615. The issue came to light following the circulation of videos showing the affected vehicle on social media.

Upon discovery on July 17, 2026, the company immediately transferred all passengers to another bus and removed KCR 615 from service. The bus underwent a thorough process where all seats were removed, and the entire vehicle was fumigated and sprayed to eradicate the pests. It was only reinstated into service after being certified completely pest-free.

Company-Wide Preventive Measures

In response to the incident, Tahmeed Express announced enhanced preventive protocols across its entire fleet. These include:

  • Increased frequency of fumigation for all buses
  • Ceasing the transport of used bedding on all routes to prevent re-infestation
  • Upgrading seat cover materials to those that do not harbor bedbugs

The company emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, encouraging customers to report any concerns to help improve service quality.

"We are committed to delivering clean, safe, and reliable service on every trip," the company stated.
