Somalia is stepping up its flood preparedness efforts as it braces for heavy rains linked to the anticipated Super El Niño. The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has initiated close collaboration with the Somali Air Force to strengthen emergency response capabilities.
SoDMA Commissioner Mahmoud Moallim Abdulle met with Air Force Commander Brig. Gen. Abdirisaq Mahmoud Haaji Qaloombi at the Air Force headquarters to discuss coordinated strategies for managing potential flooding and related emergencies.
