President William Ruto has highlighted the government's strong focus on investing in education as a cornerstone for Kenya's future development. Speaking at the 46th Kenya Defence Forces pass-out parade in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, the Head of State underscored the critical role of human capital in national progress.
"Our greatest asset as a nation is our people. This is why we are dedicating substantial resources to education and training for Kenya’s youth," President Ruto said. He detailed ongoing initiatives including hiring additional teachers, expanding learning facilities, and introducing a new university funding model.
Furthermore, the president emphasized the importance of providing adequate student accommodation to enhance learning environments. "By ensuring hostels and dormitories are available, we aim to give young Kenyans the best opportunities to excel," he added.
President Ruto urged young people to work hard and assured them, along with their families, that the government would continue to support education as a means to prepare the next generation for the future.
