Senator Khalwale announced that Gloria died suddenly on the morning of August 15 after collapsing from a heart attack. She was the mother of their eight children: Engine Kukaste, Olivia Sabayi, Flavia Shimuli, Gift Atubukha, Meliza Khamwenyi, Velma Nasiebanda, Sonia Inuni, and Maura Makatse.
This tragedy comes nearly seven years after the senator lost his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale, who passed away in October 2019.
