Nana Owiti, ex-wife of rapper King Kaka, posted a video on social media introducing a new house help, shortly after the family mourned the passing of their longtime household manager, Christine.
The video, shared on August 17, shows Owiti's son preparing for a football match with the assistance of the new nanny. The child, wearing a Manchester United jersey, receives a cup of hot cocoa from the house help before heading to the pitch, where he scores a goal and is warmly cheered on.
This post came just one day after King Kaka announced the death of Christine, who had served the family for years and was regarded as more than an employee. The rapper paid tribute to her with a heartfelt message and a song by Amos and Josh, highlighting her importance in their lives. Christine was well-known to fans through previous family posts and had even been visited by King Kaka and Nana Owiti in her rural home in Kendu Bay.
The new video sparked mixed reactions online. While some followers celebrated the young footballer’s progress and the introduction of the new nanny, others took a moment to express condolences for Christine’s passing.
- One viewer expressed sympathy, writing, "So sorry for your loss, Nana," to which Owiti responded with a hug emoji.
- Others praised the boy’s talent and growth, with comments like "Congratulations to Iroma The Great" and "You're raising a champ, congratulations to him."
The clip ends with the house help encouraging the boy, saying, "You see? Hot chocolate brings out the talent," as she offers him another cup.
