Equitable Share Distribution Framework

The distribution formula considers factors such as population, poverty levels, land area, and fiscal effort, as mandated by Article 203 of the Kenyan Constitution. Funds are intended for devolved services including healthcare, rural infrastructure, water and sanitation, agricultural support, and county administration.

Lower End Allocations

Counties with smaller populations such as Lamu, Tharaka-Nithi, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Taita-Taveta, Nyamira, and Isiolo received comparatively lower disbursements, ranging from about KSh 199 million to KSh 285 million in July.
