Manchester City has secured the services of winger Jeremy Doku by signing him to a five-year contract extension, keeping the Belgian international at the club until 2031.
Doku, 24, joined City from French side Rennes in 2023 and has since become a key figure in the team's attack. Over 131 appearances, he has netted 22 goals and provided 34 assists, contributing significantly to City's recent successes including the Premier League title, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup victories.
On the international stage, Doku has earned 48 caps for Belgium and was part of the squad at the latest World Cup.
New Era Under Enzo Maresca
The extension comes as Enzo Maresca takes over managerial duties at the Etihad Stadium, succeeding Pep Guardiola. Doku expressed enthusiasm about the new coach's approach, crediting it as a factor in his decision to commit long-term.
"I have loved my time at City so far, so to have the opportunity to stay for longer is a fantastic feeling," Doku said. "This club means so much to me – I have developed as both a player and a person. I feel settled here, and I know I am improving every day because of the work the staff here do.
