A recent opinion poll conducted by Swiss Poll International reveals Leah Sankaire as the frontrunner in the race for Kajiado County Women Representative ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The survey, carried out between August 3 and August 10, 2026, involved 4,635 respondents across all five constituencies of Kajiado County. Sankaire leads with 45% support among decided voters, significantly ahead of her closest rival Dorothy Mashipei, who holds 16%.
Other candidates such as Susan Simayo and Jenifer Moinket each garnered 2%, while Nais Karia received 1% support.
Significant Undecided Voters Could Impact Race
Despite Sankaire's commanding lead, the poll highlights that 34% of respondents remain undecided. This sizeable bloc could shift the dynamics of the race as campaigns gain momentum.
Swiss Poll International noted that the large proportion of undecided voters leaves room for changes in support, suggesting that the current standings may evolve before election day.
As the 2027 elections approach, the contest for the Kajiado Women Representative seat remains competitive, with the undecided electorate playing a potentially decisive role.
