Leading Producers
- China dominates the market, producing 3.74 million metric tons, which accounts for 53% of worldwide tea production.
- India follows with 1.285 million metric tons, representing 18% of the global supply.
- Kenya ranks third, producing 599,000 metric tons or 8%, making it the only African nation among the top tea producers.
Other Notable Producers
- Türkiye and Sri Lanka each contribute 4%.
- Vietnam provides 3%.
- Indonesia accounts for 2%.
- Japan produces 1% of the world’s tea.
