The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast valid from 9pm on Wednesday, August 12, to 9pm on Thursday, August 13, covering 47 counties across the country.
Most regions are expected to experience partly cloudy skies with sunny intervals, but light showers and thunderstorms are predicted in several areas.

Meanwhile, intermittent cool and cloudy conditions will affect parts of Kirinyaga, Nairobi, and Wajir counties.

Strong southerly to southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s) are forecast over parts of Turkana, Marsabit, Isiolo, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, Tana River, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kitui counties.

- Highest temperatures: Migori at 31°C; Kisumu and Homa Bay at 30°C
- Warm conditions: Busia and Siaya at 29°C; Kakamega at 28°C
- Moderate temperatures: Nairobi max 26°C, min 11°C; Nakuru max 27°C; Narok coolest at 10°C minimum
- Rift Valley and Central counties: Baringo 25°C/15°C; Laikipia 26°C/12°C; Elgeyo Marakwet and Nandi peak at 24°C
- Other notable areas: Kajiado max 26°C, min 11°C; Kericho 24°C; Bomet 25°C
