The National Museums of Kenya (NMK) has announced the temporary closure of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Mausoleum in Bondo, Siaya County. The site has been inaccessible to visitors since July 20, 2026, and will remain closed until October 30, 2026.
This closure facilitates ongoing construction and renovation work, including the development of a new mausoleum dedicated to the late Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
