Iran has reopened Bandar Abbas International Airport for scheduled domestic flights after a period of intermittent closures linked to ongoing hostilities with the United States.
Kazem Tavassoli, the director general of airports in Hormozgan province, confirmed that flights on key domestic routes, including Tehran-Bandar Abbas, Mashhad-Bandar Abbas, and Bandar Abbas-Isfahan, are now operational in both directions.
Before the conflict began in February, the airport managed between 35 and 40 flights daily, both domestic and international. However, since the onset of the conflict, services were limited and the airport experienced repeated closures.
The resumption follows a phase of limited flight activity in recent days, signaling a gradual return to normal operations for this strategic port city.
