Incheon International Airport in South Korea has emerged as the world's busiest airport by international passenger numbers for the first half of 2026, according to preliminary data from Airports Council International.
The airport served 38.4 million international travelers between January and June, edging out London's Heathrow Airport, which handled 37.79 million passengers. Singapore's Changi Airport ranked third with 34.53 million.
Factors Driving Incheon's Growth

Incheon serves 158 international destinations, surpassing Hong Kong International (139), Shanghai Pudong (92), and Tokyo Narita (86).
