The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has unveiled the colour scheme for ballot papers and corresponding ballot box lids to be used in the 2027 General Elections.
Each of the six elective positions will have a unique colour to help voters and election officials easily identify the ballots. The announced colours are as follows:
- Presidential: White
- Members of the National Assembly: Green
- Member of County Assembly (MCA): Beige
- Senatorial: Yellow
- Gubernatorial: Light Blue
- Women Representative: Purple
The IEBC emphasized that the colour of each ballot paper will correspond with the lid colour of its respective ballot box, streamlining the voting process and reducing confusion at polling stations.
In addition, the commission urged Kenyans who have not yet registered to do so at constituency offices and Huduma Centres nationwide ahead of the elections.
