Several casualties are feared after a helicopter went down near Mt Ololokwe in Samburu County on the morning of Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
A witness reported spotting the aircraft crash in a remote, rugged area of the mountain, urging for an immediate rescue operation. "The helicopter has fallen deep in a difficult-to-access spot. Urgent help is needed to rescue those on board," the witness said.
