Speaking in an interview on August 12, 2026, Sakaja expressed strong confidence that Nairobi residents will renew their trust in his leadership, allowing him to complete both inherited and newly initiated development projects.

The governor highlighted how the frequent turnover of county leadership has disrupted long-term planning and implementation of key projects in Nairobi. By winning a second term, he believes he can offer the stability needed to see through critical infrastructure and social programs.

Sakaja pointed out that his administration inherited significant projects from previous governments, which required continuity rather than abandonment. He emphasized his commitment to finishing these initiatives alongside his own development agenda.
