Close competitors include:

  • YouTube at 55.3%
  • Instagram with 54.6%
  • WhatsApp at 54.4%

Following these leading platforms, usage rates drop notably. The secondary tier is led by Messenger at 36.9%, with TikTok nearly matching at 36.0%. Other platforms in this group include Telegram (32.6%) and X (28.1%).

The report also highlights:

  • WeChat at 24.8%
  • Pinterest close behind at 24.7%
  • Snapchat with 22.3%
  • LinkedIn at 20.6%
  • Douyin at 19.4%

Lower usage platforms include iMessage at 16.6% and Threads at 13.7% among the global online adult population.
