The decision came after a technical inspection by LaLiga, which found the pitch unfit for play due to damage caused by the fungus. Efforts to restore the turf were hampered by unfavorable weather conditions, further delaying recovery.
LaLiga, in collaboration with both clubs and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), agreed to reschedule the match to ensure player safety and match quality.
